Kristallnacht commemoration to honor Lea Weems’ memory

The Institute for Hebraic-Christian Studies will present its 12th annual Kristallnacht Memorial honoring the Houston Council of Holocaust Survivors and Holocaust Museum Houston. The event, Monday, Nov. 3, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., honors the memory of Lea Weems, a noted and articulate Holocaust survivor who died Aug. 17, 2008. Having spoken often to schools and various organizations in Texas, Weems was president of the Houston Council of Holocaust Survivors.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. at the West Houston Christian Center, 11300 Wilcrest Green Dr., one block south of Richmond at Wilcrest
